Precision Sampling — Sample Is the Contract

Precision Sampling Program

Sample is the contract.
Approval is the milestone.

A beautiful sample that can’t be reproduced at scale is a beautiful liability. YILISTAR locks the production standard at sample approval — fabric, fill, frame, finish — so the container matches the prototype, unit for unit.

The Problem, Stated Plainly

Sample approved. Production shipped. Then the surprise.

Most cross-border furniture failures don’t start at the factory. They start at the sample — when nobody agrees on what “approved” actually locks in.

  • 01

    Fabric swapped after approval

Substituted materials may look identical on screen and fail at first customer return. Without a sealed reference, a swap is invisible until it’s in your container.

  • 02

    Foam density silently downgraded

A softer cushion saves the factory cents and sinks in 6 months. No one notices until the review — by then the batch is paid for.

  • 03

    Finish details drift across batches

Stitching, leg finish, corner radius — tolerances that shift without a sealed reference. Each drift is a return you absorb at retail.

The Method

Five steps from brief to sealed standard

Every sample passes through the same controlled path — nothing skipped, nothing improvised, every step documented.

STEP 1

Spec review

Dimensions, fabric grade, foam density and finish converted into a written spec sheet you approve.

STEP 2

Sample build

Built on the production line — not a bench prototype — with the real frame, fill and fabric.

STEP 3

Evidence pack

Measurement records, detail close-ups and seam checks sent with the sample.

STEP 4

Buyer approval

You approve, adjust or reject against a written checklist — not memory.

STEP 5

Seal & lock

The approved sample becomes the sealed reference for QC on every production unit.

The Standard, Written Down

Exactly what the sample locks in

This specification travels with your sample and becomes the production standard. Every line is written, verifiable and matched at QC.

What You Actually Get

Every sample ships with evidence you can audit

The sample isn’t a promise — it’s a specification. Each shipment includes:

  • Measurement record against your spec sheet
  • Fabric swatch tag with grade and batch ID
  • Foam density certificate for seat and back
  • Seam, stitching and frame joint photos
  • Packed-dimension & CBM for freight planning
  • Kept reference sample for production comparison

The risk-reversal promise

If the first production container doesn’t match the sealed sample on the agreed spec — fabric, foam, frame or finish — we rework or replace the affected units at our cost. The sample is the contract; we stand behind it.

Frequently Asked

Sampling questions buyers ask us

How long does a sample take?
7–15 days from spec confirmation, depending on fabric stock and configuration. The timeline is written before we start — not after.
How much does a sample cost?
Sample pricing is quoted with your graded RFQ. The sample fee is credited against your first production order above MOQ.
What if the sample doesn’t meet my expectation?
You approve, adjust or reject against the checklist. Adjustments go back to the line with written changes — one controlled revision cycle, not endless ping-pong.
Can you make changes after approval?
Yes — but every change re-seals the sample. We write the new spec, rebuild and re-seal before production starts, so the container still matches the latest approved reference.
Do I need a sample before a full container?
We strongly recommend it. Buyers who skip the sample accept the entire quality risk themselves. One sample set is cheaper than one rejected container.
